Welcome to the OuterSpace Site

OuterSpace is a group of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered) Christians, and their family and friends, at the annual Greenbelt Festival. It is committed to the Church and to helping everyone find their way in the Church, no matter what their background.

OuterSpace at Greenbelt '09

OuterSpace were out in force again at Greenbelt '09 with a range of seminars, worship events and also times of prayer and togetherness in a big purple marquee. A full report is here.

  • FFLAG - Family and Friends of Lesbian and Gay People - A national voluntary organisation dedicated to supporting parents and their gay, lesbian and bisexual sons and daughters.
  • YLGC - an online group with regular meetings and socials in the real world. Ages 18-30
  • Living it Out - A survival guide for lesbian, gay and bisexual Christians and their friends, families and churches
  • MCC (Metropolitan Community Churches) - Worldwide fellowship with a special outreach to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities.
  • Evangelican Fellowship of Lesbian and Gay Christians - a group of women and men, most of whom are lesbian, gay or bisexual and come from an evangelical Christian background

  • Quest - a group for Lesbian and Gay Catholics
  • Sibyls - The Sibyls is a UK-based confidential Christian spirituality group for transgender people, and their supporters.
  • Clergy Consultation - a confidential support organisation for male and female lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender clergy, religious, ordinands, seminarians and their partners.

Campaigning

  • LGCM - a UK-based international Charity who are praying for an inclusive church
  • Inclusive Church - working towards the inclusion of all people in the Anglican Church
  • Accepting Evangelicals - an open network of Evangelical Christians working towards developing a positive Christian stance towards gay and lesbian people.
